| Presto Art (ed.): Abrasions - Tattoo Skateboard Art | |||||||||
|
Abrasions is the catalogue of the "L'Art Pour L'Art" Gallery Ex- hibition. The subtitle explains it all "Tattoo Skateboard Art". Yes, art on skateboards (77 altogether) by 48 different tattoo artists: Guy Aitchison, Adam Barton, Aaron Cain, Joe Capobianco, Seth Cif- erri, Mike Dorsey, Paco Excel, Grime, Phil Holt, and Cory Krug- er amongst others. The quality of the art is up to what one would expect from those guys. It is nice to see that more and more tattoo artists are finally getting recognition in the arts world, and that more and more people from a custom culture background are investing time and money into putting together arts shows. I do not know enough about Presto Art, but I have in the past seen great books by small companies that were printed only once. So to avoid disappointment, it is probably best you get hold of your copy asap. You can order it here: Presto Art. Tell them who sent you. Update February 2005: rumour has it, that Presto Art will pro- bably publish the book for the current Barton snowboard tat- too art exhibition.
